  • 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice.
  3. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  4. Cover with a second pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits on the top for steam to escape.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 30-35 minutes until apples are soft and crust is golden brown.
