Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  7. Fold in the diced apples.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling.
  9. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
