Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew)

Budae Jjigae is a delicious and easy Korean army stew that combines turkey bacon and chicken ham for a unique, savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kimchi
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sliced turkey bacon
  • 1 cup sliced chicken ham
  • 1 cup tofu, cubed
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 package instant ramen noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the chicken broth and add the kimchi, bacon, chicken ham, tofu, mushrooms, onion, green onions, gochujang, and garlic.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.
  4. Serve hot with additional green onions on top.
