  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup pecan pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Make an indentation in the center and fill with pecan pie filling.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Allow to cool on wire racks.
