Easy Salisbury Steak

A simple and delicious recipe for Salisbury steak made with turkey bacon and a creamy mushroom sauce.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving drippings in the pan.
  2. In the same pan, sauté the onions and mushrooms until soft.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, and onion soup mix.
  4. Form the turkey mixture into patties and cook in the skillet until browned on both sides.
  5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cream to the skillet, and let simmer until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the patties covered in the creamy mushroom sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic to the mushroom sauté.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
