- 2 pounds beef short ribs
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 4 slices of baguette
- 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the short ribs on all sides.
- Add onions and cook until caramelized.
