  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. While the meatloaf is baking, boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Drain the potatoes and mash them with milk and butter until creamy.
  7. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Serve the meatloaf slices with mashed potatoes on the side.
