  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until tender.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside to cool.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add butter, egg, and milk to the flour mixture, and stir until combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture into the boiling broth.
  7. Add mixed vegetables and reduce heat.
  8. Shred the cooled chicken and return it to the pot.
  9. Cover and simmer until dumplings are cooked through.
