Sweet Potato & Cranberry Gratin

A deliciously creamy sweet potato gratin layered with tart cranberries, perfect for cozy dinners.

  • 3 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyère or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Spread half of the cranberries over the sweet potatoes.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the layer.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining sweet potatoes, cranberries, and cream mixture.
  7. Top with grated cheese.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
