- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then whisk in the flour to create a roux.
- Gradually add the milk, whisking until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Once the mixture thickens, stir in the cheese until melted.
- Add the cooked macaroni and turkey bacon, stirring to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until bubbly.
