  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually add the milk, whisking until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Once the mixture thickens, stir in the cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni and turkey bacon, stirring to combine.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until bubbly.
