Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Beat in cocoa, flour, and salt until well blended. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
For the mousse, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted chocolate chips.
Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before adding the mousse layer for the best texture.
You can top the mousse with chocolate shavings or fresh berries for added garnish.
